A little time to shop at the end of the day.

We have been here for 3 days now and it has been awesome!  We started the day working at TC and the kids all chipped in today since they were home from school.  The kids work extremely hard and we really had to pick up our game with them working alongside us.

We had a wonderful cookout prepared by Tio Jose and the kids enjoyed the treat.  After the cookout we headed to the Cancha for an afternoon of fun and games.  Alyssa and Tara handed out the sunglasses that they brought and they were a huge hit!  The girls thought they were modeling and the boys thought they were super studs!  It was great to see them so happy when they received the shades.

We then had to let the kids return home for a nutrition clinic at TC and we headed down town to the open market to buy a few things.  It was quite an adventure.  It had everything from the most Bolivian items to things we buy in the US.  We stopped at the hammock store on the way back to the GATHER and purchased some beautiful hammocks.

In the evening we enjoyed another great meal provided by Elisa at the GATHER.  Ryan, Jonathan, Lee, Alyssa and I took a trip to the HyperMaxi on a Mecro.  Those new to Bolivia enjoyed the cultural adventure.  For the ride back, Jonathan told us to NEVER grab a cab that wasn't with a company, then promptly hailed one of those cabs for us!  We all crammed into a small, less than reputable taxi, then headed back to GATHER.  The driver thought it was cool when Jonathan mentioned Fast and the Furious, then drove like he was in the movie.  After flipping a very fast U-turn that almost sent Lee out of the car, we arrived safely at the GATHER.  Lee did so much praying on this little excursion that we almost skipped devotions for the night.

All in all, we had a great day and once again, God showed Himself to us in many ways and always at the right time!  Tomorrow we are off to church with the kids.  Please keep praying for us and we continue to do His will down here.
